30 years of Excellence

Bright Star operates year round, closing three weeks per year (one week during the Christmas holidays and two weeks in late summer, just before the start of the new school term). The regular school term runs from early September to mid-June, and is 180 days long.  Play days are available when class is not in session.

Summer sessions are available for part or all of the summer vacation, from mid-June to end-August.

We pride ourselves in diversity. We serve families from a wide variety of ethnic and social backgrounds. Parents are invited to tour the school by appointment.

Class hours:	9:00 am - 12:00 pm for morning sessions
	9:00 am - 3:00 pm M-Th, 9:00 - 12:00 F, for full day schedule
	Childcare is available from 8:00 am - 9:00 am and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Tuition:

Tuition is based on an academic school year beginning September 2, 2008 and ending on June 12, 2009.  For the ten month school year tuition can be paid can be paid annually by July 1st or monthly with a 10 month payment plan. There is a 5% discount for Annual Payments paid by July 1.  Each monthly payment is due on the first day of each month and is calculated at one tenth of the value of the annual contract regardless of the number of days in the month.  The non-refundable one month tuition deposit will be credited to your account in June 2009.

Tuition for the 2008/2009 preschool program (2 1/2 - 5 years old):

*Four day program spaces are limited. Note: a few three (3) month, three (3) day schedules are available for
2 1/2  and just-turned 3 year olds.

Summer school is available by the month or week and is contracted separately.

Fees:

Application Fee (new students only): $ 50.00
Building, grounds, safety & materials fee: $ 550.00

Admission Requirements:

• Attend an open house or make an appointment to observe the program without your child.
• Return the application form with the application fee.
• Arrange a visit with your child to meet the teacher.
• Applicants are accepted throughout the year as space is available.
• All paper work and fees are due prior to your child starting the program.
• New students are welcome to begin one day after all fees and forms required by the State of California are received in our office. Please ask in the office for these forms.
